I have been in Qufu as part of the academic exchange between the physics departments of Vanier College and Qufu Normal University. During this time, I regularly met with students to try out various active learning strategies. These strategies all have the same goal: to actively involve the student in the learning process. In this presentation, I will talk about some of those strategies and the experiences I made with them in Qufu and at Vanier.
报告人简介:
Stefan Bracher has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, École Polytechnique de Montréal). He worked in the fields of control system automation and robotics. He has discovered his passion for education when he was a teaching assistant at École Polytechnique. After a few years in the industry, He decided to become a college teacher and completed a short program in post-secondary education at UQAM (Université de Québec à Montréal). Since 2012, he is teaching physics at Vanier College in Montreal, Canada.
